it has been almost two weeks now and i want you to know that i am okay.
i assume that you are very happy now, that you don't remember me for almost two weeks now.
actually i do not miss you at all, not until the other night when i saw you in my dreams.
it felt so real, i was talking to you...it was so vivid, we were having our meals together again just like the old times..i was very eager, but then you need to leave for it's already time to wake up..
i am okay again not until you visited my dreams again last night. Do i miss you that much?
every time i look at boyfriend i am always reminded of you. I love him and i'll do anything for him but right now i am trying to replace my dreams of you with his presence.
i don't feel like going back to the place where we've meet, it is so full of you.
it tears my heart that right from the start i've already lost the fight.
i pretty much look up to you that i've almost fallen for you.
it's funny how boyfriend is acting lately, i've just realized you have things in common.

i have a pile of clothes in front of me waiting to be packed, my tutu waiting to be picked up and a boyfriend who has been sleeping now for almost an hour or two, i am supposed to be cramming by now, it's 10 mins past one am and I have a lot of errands still before i'll leave for Manila. but I felt obliged to create my new year's resolution for 2011 for two days now. so i dropped everything so to compose my list.

1. on top of my priority will be a shift to healthy lifestyle. that would mean, no sodas, less fat and cholesterol, enough time for sleeping, proper exercise and positive outlook.

2. learning to say no! No! No! at the most nice way...sincerely and humbly.

3. focus on overachieving...

4. call home more often.

5. spread love.

6. enjoy life.

give peace a chance!

got this title while watching Grey's.

Christmas has passed and so did New Year, and never feeling that they were coming made me feel the worst person i know. Honestly, i was so jealous of everyone around, the last minute shopping, food preparations, and left and right merry-makings. How can the world be so gay when i almost lost my brother. oh yes, this was my ordeal why should they bother.

i have a lot of friends, i am even gifted with a very nice boyfriend. but neither have helped me from drowning into that dark place again.

i am becoming a mess inside and i am turning into a big fat freak.

i just simply forgot how to be happy.

brother is having a good recovery but i am not.

well, i just need to take some time to chill =)

one boring biology class seven years ago, I vandalized my scientific calculator with 2006, the year that i am expected to graduate. 2006 was exactly four years from the day i was seated on that monobloc chair. fairly enough i made it through my deadline with honors and lump-some extra curriculars' to fill my cv. i was beaming with pride as i was pulling my CV to get done. the whole 4 year gave me that sense of maturity, seniority and assurance that i will have the world under my feet and in control. not until reality dawned on me and i was left clueless and disoriented. job hopping has become a norm in search for the job the fits me, that job the could fulfill me, the job the makes me happy. seven years forward from that classroom scenario, i am still left in crossroad with my search, stuck in a job that i feel like quitting again. my gas...

anyone please help me..
how do you keep yourself to a job.

we never saw it coming, not until we were all called to gather in Davao to suddenly convene with no clear agenda sent out beforehand. it was a gloomy thursday morning when i woke up and realize that i am already one hour late for the said meeting, worse came when i couldn't find my PDA, and worst my place is an hour away from the meeting place. i will be exactly three hours late for the said meeting.

but what is there to get eager to go when the rumor has it that the agenda was the most feared untimely retrenchment.so much for my delinquencies, it was instead made into a joke by the time i arrived. nobody cared, because when i get there the tension was already overwhelming. In fact it made the atmosphere in the room so heavy that i felt that my chest will explode any moment by then.

good news, i am still in. bad news, three of my friends were laid off with 120 other counterparts.

no matter the good news is, i am still in shock, torn and demoralized.
but i need to compose myself for the next big wave to come in the next few days.

it will be a month since i turned twenty four four days from now and it just sinked in my mind recently that only 11 months left till i reached my quarter life.

for whatever reason i just feel the need to compose a post of my-turning-24.

maybe to reflect on what lessons are there to pick up from mistakes committed for the past 24 years of my life.

this year has been uber ME, like i get to do more what i wanted to do.

i claimed this year to be mine...and i still have 3 months more to look forward to.

after how many sundays of missing the mass, finally boyfriend and i was able to attend last night.

we were not late and we were able to chose a nice spot for the two of us.

from the gospel, the priest shared a story of a couple and the wine. there was a big feast given by one man, he invited several couples assuring to them that he will be prepare good foods but each couple must bring wine so that they will be contributing to the wine for everyone that night.

one couple tought of just bringing water and just put some color into it, besides who would notice, if all the other couple will put wine in the barrel, their water will be left unnoticeable. As the party continues the Host called for a toast so every one got their wine and after thier cheers they took their first sip. they noticed that there is something wrong so they all took their second sip, and realized that they were not wrong the 1st time around. what they have in their hands is water and not wine, every couple in the banquet had thought of the same thing of bringing water instead of wine. they get no wine because they brought no wine.

the morale of the story, do not expect to get something if you have not given anything for it.

most people do not go to church because they think that they do not ave anything to get from it.

come to church with your heart and spirit so that it is your heart and spirit that my be filled.

the lord is the bread, he will fullfill the hunger of our hearts and spirits.

pray to be a better person and once you get there, pray more to stay that way.

if there was one person whom i greatly owe this blog to,it would be Zsay. we have occasionally been partners in crime since we met. and now i am terribly missing her and along with my other amiga Ella! thinking back on the days that we were still colleagues makes me feel sorry for not having spent more bonding times with her. i have been busy catching up the bus on week ends making my home to davao. if i have known then, i could have lessened my davao-on-weekends activity. but things were meant to be, we were led to different paths leaving only good memories for us to ponder.

she might be unaware of this but she had taught me lessons that at first i was to shameful to admit. long sigh. will i be given an opportunity to thank you in person on the way you have opened my mind. you have always been an inspiration of becoming a beautiful person inside and out. and i will always be your number one fan.

But not until this afternoon, as i was standing in the full clinic of a certain MD at the top hospital here in DAVAO with my counterparts. Because we were wearing our product shirts, we were easily identified and because the issue is still hot and people love to be at par with the drama of the Pfizer-MAR affair, one patient blurted..."hala mubarato na inyo tambal no, ngano bitaw mahal kaayo mo ai na pwee man d ai na mubarato''

i was appalled to just snob the woman, or tell her that she might just as well as use the generics if she wants to avail cheap medicines and stop playing victimized by pfizer pricing of its meds...go ahead condemn pfizer but never use pfizer in case you need to have some medication take all the generics you want and i will start counting your days before you get hospitalized.MEAN for short! i want to be mean because they are being MEAN to pfizer.

but because i was bred to carry pfizer products, i might as well focus on the bright side of the situation; as my PFIZER trainor, Ms. Ginny always tell us. I took a deep breath and started probing....

the sky was gloomy and the roads were wet, it seems like the day was way out trying to ridicule my high spirit this morning. i joined the morning rush memorizing my itinerary for today; catch up missed calls, RTD by lunch, free clinic around 1 and back to coverage around four. things will work out just fine, i was convincing myself all thru the way to my first coverage....they better should be because TODAY is the LAST day of the cycle.

i was fast with my coverage...then run thru the RTD, good thing the hotel is just with in the territory. the lecture was done and i am already full, mind and and stomach. got to rush to buy some snacks for my implementation and free clinic. WHOOPS, the day was not through with it's ridicule on my I-HAVE-TO-BE-POSITIVE-IF-I-WANT-TO-HIT-MY-CONCENTRATION-AND-NPC day, things came to worst as the city was wet with moderate rainfall, but i have no intentions to to just give up my I-HAVE-TO-BE-POSITIVE-IF-I-WANT-TO-HIT-MY-CONCENTRATION-AND-NPC day, so i run to the nearest mall and have myself a new umbrella...it cost me only 69.80 stay away from being drenched and have myself pursue my

I-HAVE-TO-BE-POSITIVE-IF-I-WANT-TO-HIT-MY-CONCENTRATION-AND-NPC day.

the morale of the story? we partners should always have our umbrellas so to save another 69.80.

KIDDING! in the line of industry where we at, we must just have the right attitude to last the day...no rain or storm should come between our goals, instead we should find ways to overcome them because at the end of the day, we have no one to point fingers to for instances that we allow to pass us by, except for ourselves for it was us who decide on every actions and options we made...

me and my counterparts have decided this afternoon to watch a movie.. i was undecided yet on what movie to go to but one sure thing is we will hit the movie house early this evening.

the next thing i knew was i was falling in line with DRAG ME TO HELL, for one of the counterpart had decided for us and brought the 6:00 pm screening ticket already.

my review...
it was more of a thriller film than a horror one. it makes you cover your eyes not because it's scary but because its gross. i was heavily disappointed at some point where the movie looked more less of a scary film but of that of a mix of gore, cheap scares and supposed to be funny scenes which are not needed in the film in anyways.

rating: 7/10

i reached the point that just can't feel anything but worries.
its killing me, it is making me feel numb towards everything and worst it makes me dumber everyday.

boyfriend has been very good to me this week. though he was busy and tired too, he made it a point to pamper me. but i have not been myself lately. and his effort has all been in vain.

i think i am starting to hate myself. life has been nice but all i can be is mean and ungrateful. i need to do something productive before i lose my sense of worth.

that's it.. it came out, i have been acting weird lately because i am losing my sense of worth. insecurities sucking my whole being, nada! it is not insecurities, it is laziness and procrastination that makes me become very unfashionably unproductive.

Saturday Workday....making up for being a she-dog

it was supposed to be my rest day from work today and yet i opted to go around the clinics and hospitals to catch up with my daily MD call rate. Much of the doctors were surprised to see me hovering at their clinic on a non-med rep day.

but i found the coverage today smooth and nice, though there were missed calls but still i reached the quota for the day. so much for the calls, i had come to have conversations with two different people today which made me ponder on.

actually, i had already been pondering on about these stuffs for the past few days, and having those conversation has been serendipitous for i didn't even initiate either of them.

i have been feeling weird lately about my actions and what i haven't done, they are haunting me at night that i can't even enjoy doing FACEBOOK and surfing.

i have done stuff which i wish i could erase and i have involved myself in situations that i know firsthand could do no good for me.

right now, no matter how many saturdays i will go for overtime, i could not make up for what has already been done.

but i am thankful that i still have the time to not do those stuff again.
PROMISE! not in this lifetime.
but will that be enough?

Talking to oneself is good, but not in public

Tick tock tick tock…One thing I have perfectly mastered is the art of procrastination. Everyday I have a to-do list and I missed doing the listed stuff more often than following them. Too bad, because the next day, I always ends up messing things around and rushing over to catch up with time to meet what is due.
You wouldn’t believe it but I think nature is conniving with my will on doing the “supposed-to-be done” stuff. Like a week ago, my boss texted me that I am scheduled for my monthly product knowledge and detailing exam today. So as responsibly as I could be, I set up the whole weekdays’ afternoon for my review. Things got messed up on the first day of my review for I had a very bad bowel movement experience, a very valid excuse. No review still on the Tuesday since I am not still feeling well. Got bored on the Wednesday, so I’ve decided to meet up with a friend. Then everyone were busy on the Thursday for my eldest cousin’s wedding, so I joined them. Friday was a big family day, so I’ve decided to make it up on the weekend.
Expectedly, I failed to study on the weekend and ended up cramming last night, fortunately my boss postponed it for tomorrow, and instead of studying right now, I just got myself crying over a movie which I bought earlier. HUH. The master procrastinator. But this should stop. I mean seriously, I don’t want to flank it again. Well I hope there is a DISCIPLINE course I could crash into, or a wonder drug to keep my hype to do what is only listed or rather make me prioritize what is need to get done first. ADEEEK!

Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus

it has been a year since i had planned to do scuba diving, in fact i already forgot how doing so crossed my mind. luckily, after a year long of waiting, i found the time and company to do so. sometime mid april a close friend decided to spend the labor day with me so we planned for an itinerary for that day, and this time around i was able to convince her to try scuba diving.

i have been very excited to this stuff for a year, but then as labor day was coming, i started to have chills and anxiety of what mught go wrong, considering that i will be bringing my youngest brod. but i did not let this spoil the activity instead i went to do the reservation in person.

from there on, i put my fate to the diving masters that will be assisting us in our open water diving crash course. we were given short lectures on the equipment and trouble shooting skills to keep us safe under water.

the APPARATUS: a mask, SCUBA, automated inflatable vest, weigths, wet suit and the fins.

the TIP/INSTRUCTIONS: try doing SCUBA diving and the DM will explain it to you before every one goes in the water.

we did a lot of snorkeling around the boat in the middle of the sea. and ended the day tired yet excited to the next diving.

Aren't we? Time flew so fast that we are now left to ponder on the memories that we've shared.
It has been a celebration of discipline, hardwork, unity, victory and friendship.
Youthfullness at its peak.

Going thru the pics at friendster and multiply brougth me nostalgia, we are strongly binded by our love for camwhoring (lol). I then found myself driving thru the memory lane.

It all started with a walk of fame in the alley at the 31st floor at FGU and story telling of our Valentines' Hang-Overs. There were few who were late but wise enough to catch up. Studying became the favorite past time (hehehe) and food tripping have been occassional. Then there was our Jolly-Jeep experience and "run-ned' (ginawa bang adjective?) stockings moments.
We had our share of butterflies in our stomach every Integration morning. Camwhoring during study periods where casual as much as chit chatting..and who would forget those makati prime nights?

Now we are islands apart (long sigh), lucky to those who are deployed near to each other (good thing i had Ryn with me), which only means one thing, we made it guys...we made it this far.

new year, new life.....
As part of my new year's resolutions that up until now is not yet done and written, I'm having a general cleaning on my closet, my room, my parent's house, my blog and my life. Good news is, i'm done with my closet and so with my room, and my parent's house, so its my blog's turn now.
Actually, i have been dying to change the lay out since November.

The lay out turned to be boring compared to my colorful one before, but at least this one is personalized. In my most desperate attempt to make this one as customize as possible, i ended up jeopardizing this one..sob

work has been so demanding that I was left to stick with this lay out for some time..
Thank goodness, i already had the time to make things better..
so i am saying goodbye to the old one.

two thousand eight nostalgia

the year was so fast-paced that i still linger on it!
2008 is over, yet i still oscillate on its after-effects.
Even my body slacks off, so lazy to even do my new years' resolution list.
I am occasionally sleepy and i find myself eating more of what i should be having.
I am basically living the first month of the year the most unlikely and unhealthy way everybody should not be doing.

2008 was so much.
it drained the most of me.
so much happened that i couldn't even remember most of them.
but i want to, for this was the time of my life that i tried to start acting like an adult.
it was tiring though, but there are more than enough lessons to be learned and mastered.

rollin', rollin', rollin',....strolling down to my memory lane, back to the year it was.

january was worst, as i thought that very moment.
i was broke and i had bills,
i only have the store to suffice my dues.
i got involved with teaching english to korean kids but it only lasted for a week.
i never felt so low. no offense meant to people in this industry, it's just that it's not really
my thing and pursuing it is just so unproductive for me.
the kids were specially stubborn and i was undeniably impatient.

my ego was buried six feet under the ground as February came.
bf and i have constant rows.
we almost broke up.
i went to unwind in gensan for two days to mend my aching heart.
i also took the chance to submit my resume's to different canning corp with in the city.
we made it up on his birthday,
but a friend ruined our valentines day(sob).
we still have occasional streaks but milder compared early of this month.

i did my major job hunting and interviews the whole month of march.
i was able to live in polomolok for two days,
conquered tambler on my own,
and pigged out at gaisano port gensan alone.
ended the month with a snorkeling get away at samal.
but again, we had a major row at the end of the day.
a bad way to end march.

we spent the first day of April by procuring my driver's license,
that was with lizette, mon and of course ching.
we were supposed to apply for pfizer.
mon and lizette were collegiate still that time, and then Citra Mina called.
the next thing i knew was i was alredy packing my stuffs to relocate in gensan and completing my requirements for my new job. that was when Zyrah and I got associated.
i had a hard time adjusting to not seeing Ching.
i never went back to davao for one whole month,
i was terribly missing ching and sms didn't help either.

so i went home during the first week end of may.
and seeing him for only two days is torture.
ate beam was gone and so was ate malou.
i was left alone at Doc P's mercy.
we were cool then,
i attended my first QMS Seminar,
resided a meeting for the first time with the top management and
still missing home and ching.

June is just and selee's anniversary.
we again almost broke up,
but he came to gensan to celebrate our birthday anyways.
it was fun and sweet.
i attended the food expo as a VIP and was able to sleep in a hotel all for the first time.
by then i was able to meet Zyrah's boyfriend.
oops, i nearly forgot i went home to davao the week after our anniversary because i envied my friends who went out for dinner that friday night.

emmanuel palatulan went home from bronx, early july, so we had an instant reunion.
he treat us to samal for some sun, sea, sand escapade and never to forget snorkeling.
then i had my products all lined up to be designed.
my work sched is jam-packed.
but i had zyrah to be with the whole time.
at the end of the month i met ella and dj, we were then a crowd.
and also i already had my manager, sir jhoer.
i started blogging.

August was bigtime.
the R and D team presented the products developed.
from fruits, vege and seafoods.
it was my first time to try a hybrid sweet corn.
then pintot had to take a leave for tita glenda's condition got worst.
Ching bougth me a new pair of earring for my birthday, besh, badz and angie gurl gave me a watch. Ate ai gave me an Eastpak Backpack i bougth myself a new pair of Chuck Tailor.
it was the first time that i celebrated my birthday at McDo, i bought a happy meal with YODA as the free stuff as a remebrance of my most boring bday.
I applied for red ribbon and already took the exam.
i started to go home every week end.

September was restless,
meetings were left and right.
busy going home every week end,
no updates from red ribbon though,
zyrah was gone,
but there was Carmela..and of course Joyee..

i filed my resignation letter, 1st day of october.
red ribbon called, i was due for davao on the 27th.
mbs2 will be on the 26th,
Den's wedding will be on the 18th.
busy packing up.
i was offered 14k to stay...
on the 27th i was already working with red ribbon.

november was fast.
it was just work, work, work....

december was worst at work,
less sleep, more work.
but there is no stopping xmas.
the last two months of my 2008 was all work.
that is why i decided to call it quits, i could not continue to live like this.

that was 2008, so much happened but i handled it all..
breaking down often, but still i survived SURVIVED!

breakfast by the seaside after a tiring-beating-the-required-production-volume-on-time night shift was a treat. boyfriend surprised me early this morning by taking me to the beach for our breakfast at the most unexpected place..TIMES BEACH!

i was hesitant at first for i was clueless about a decent resto where we could pig out.
but because i was really hungry and he was the driver, i allowed him to bring me to the place..i haven't gone to the place for some tine now and it has a not-so-nice rep in the first place, but then again he is the driver..so we will be having our breakfast at TIMES BEACH.

i was wrong..there were decent grill house by the seaside..
and the beach was such a soothing view after a long night of producing breads and cakes.

it was great..
a nice destressing date before slumbering to dream land.

i stare blankly at the monitor for quite sometime before deciding to compose a post right at this moment. its been a while since i had my last post, and it has been longer since i made a sensible one.

i' ve been in davao for almost a month now, yet still i am pretty much in a mess.
oh yes i've gone cleaning my room, i've cut some cholesterol in my diet, woke up early for the morning jog, tried my streaks in photoshop, constant blog updating and consistent day dreaming about my dslr,still i am at lost. i am not yet happy as i thought to be. but definitely feeling better that in Gensan ;).

maybe one foot at a time and i will be there.
the good thing about pain is it wears off, and so definitely i will be over this.
but why am i in pain?
why am i feeling lost?
why am i always complaining?

maybe i am not in pain?
o yes i am not!
i am burn out!
burn out of my parent's situation,
of our daily arguments,
of their practices,
of their debt,
of my insecurities,
of my bad habits,
of my character,
of my being inconsiderate,
of everything that i am that i hate.

i rant about my work, of my being overworked and underpaid,
of my parent's inefficiency in running the business,
of my brother staying up late for dota,
of my brother not going into class,
of how things turned against us.

i am tired now.
i am disillusioned.
but i am still who i am.

it's Sybil's 23rd birthday!

these are my bff! yep the three of them, ning, jc, sybil, plus pintot (unfortunately she was in manila when this photo was taken). this was taken 3 summers ago, though nothing have changed much, except of gaining weights and hair dos. we have come to share our lives for sometime now and i am proud to be so!

sybil is the one in blue, the only one seated and has short hair. today she had gained weight (lol),
had her "do" long and wanted it to be curly, and is now in her junior medicine clerkship (am i ryt?). it was back in high school that i have come to meet her and it's over ten years now that i have shared this genuine friendship with her and the rest of the girls. this was even tested by distance, and proven by time. we have this sisterhood that is unbounded by any Greek organizations. we have celebrated the uniqueness of each other and have come to accept our differences. in this way, we have grown together in this friendship and i am so proud of what we have become, same for the other three dear girls!

among the three, sybil stood out as the darling of the crowd, she has been well loved and have a handful admirers. if i am not mistaken, we made it as friends because of Adrian's persistence in pursuing her back in our freshmen years in high school. we instantly became telebabad buddies. exchanging thoughts on boys, on what transpired the whole day, backstabbing , fashion, freddie prince, and so much of teeny booper stuffs!

fast forward today, 10 years after, she is in full bloom and so are we!
you're 23 now Dat!
i hope you all the best in love, career, and health.
we will always be here for you and we will be loving you always!

my boyfriend and i have scheduled a date today, so around 10 a.m. he was already at our house to fetch me. since it is the period of the month when i had my calendar marked red, i was not prepared yet. i discovered that i run out of napkin, so i asked my boyfriend to buy one for me and it almost ruined our date.
and guess what! this didn't only happened once, every time i asked him to do this we always ended up fighting.
why is it so hard for him to do so...
i wonder if your boyfriends are like this too?
are we on the same ship on this?

general santos city-last oct. 25, 2008, a hundred and plus bloggers came to visit the city of tuna to participate in the 2nd blogger summit. the summit was a part of the celebration of the cities E-BUSINESS week as spearheaded by the DTI in partnership with the local government and industries. the week long celebration was composed of different events that highlights doing business in gensan. there were job fair, cooperative meet, showcase of the e-business of gensan at kcc mall, and so much more. Also there were lined-up competition that added spice to the the main event.

the second mindanao bloggers summit- it was raining hard outside the family country hotel and there was a power trip twice, but that didn't stop the Mindanaoan bloggers to flock at the venue.instead the technical glitches allowed the bloggers to mingle with each other before the summit started.

me and my friends have divided the summit into three parts;

1) the freebies raffle-honestly, we were excited with the freebies at the summit, thanks to the sponsor and as well as to the organizers. raffles were done in between speakers, from google notebooks, id lace, ballpen, to globe jackets, and laptop bag, Forest lake umbrellas, Durian park shirts, the wordcamp shirts i'd envied so much, the blogging at home books, and the ultimate free domains with 1 year free web hosting courtesy of job oberio. what was ironically funny was all my friends won the raffle except me; it is really hard if you are the lucky charm of the group, fortunately i didn't ended up empty handed for pantene shampoo in bottles and google stickers were handed to every one.

2) Mindanao, her problem and our solution-this year's theme is Mindanaoan paminawon intawon, there were three speakers who shared their insights about Mindanao and how it is badly represented by the media. the speakers were composed of a law student, a journalist, one from the academe. together, everybody recognized the problem as well as a solution of which we bloggers can contribute.

3) the fellowship- the day was ended thru a fellowship dinner with a trivial presentation of the RMMC ensemble. the party was kept alive by the gensan rhythmic with their music. and the best part of it was camera whoring on the dance floor, it was fun trying to catch were the lenses were focused . few drinks of beer and exchange of links and the night ended gleefully.

but the summit didn't end there. yes three days have gone and i still have the hitch of it and it's impact it made in my blog world as well as to my fellow bloggers. it was a turning point of my blogging life as it empowered me to write more important things aside from my daily rants. I may have come home with only a pantene bottle and google sticker, but it didn't end there, instead i come to carry from the summit a mission of enlightening those who have wronged Mindanao and it's people thru my blog.

the summit will never end as long as we will continue to write what we have received, celebrated and seen in mindanao and to give light to those who have not known and have wronged our beloved mindano!

the land of promise surrounded by very rich and beautiful beaches!
a paradise indeed!

i have been very fortunate to see the beauty of Mindanao thru my field trips during my student years! I have stroll back at my memory lane and revisit the places where i have come to share with my friends and classmates the beautiful scenery and late night stories of crushes and heart breaks. These trips made me fall in love with my own Mindanao and fortunately i was able to take a tour around it before i went to luzon and visayas.

i spent the summer of 2005 at Makati, as an intern food technologist at Mead Johnson Nutritionals, the whole two months stay was fun and enlightening. the moment i stepped my foot at the doors of MJ, my colleagues have already stereotyped a Mindanaoan; her actions and her beliefs. It actually surprises them that i came up as super far from what they had in mind and how i am so like them. Mindanao and its people have been unfairly presented by media thru wars and poverty. Mindanao and its people have been unfairly discriminated by their beliefs and cultures.

they do not know what mindanao has to offer, for that they judge easily!
they were not able to celebrate the bounty that we have, that they judge easily!
they have never been to places that we have been, that they judge easily!

this 25th of october, fellow mindanaoan blogers will convene to share with each other what they have received, celebrated and seen and hope to enlighten they who judged mindanao easily!

got this line from a drama tv series shown on the prime time, PRIME TIME, that is the most expensive time to air an endorsement for a product for that is the time when most household members are at home and glued in front of the television.

five days from now, Den will be giving her vow to marriage. we were all excited when she broke the news, overwhelmed to be exact. Walking along the aisle in a beautiful white gown, in her very beautiful "DO", with a beautiful bouquet is most girls dream.

but deciding on having that beautiful wedding supersedes that beautiful day, it will be envisioning oneself, sharing everything you have to the person you have chosen to spend the rest of your life with. You would have to surrender all the perks of single hood, that is financial, emotional, physical, psychological, and even sleeping peacefully alone at night.

and thinking that Den had made this decision, i pretty much envied her courage. but still i wonder what made her commit to marriage as young as she is. what could have given her the assurance, L-O-V-E, it must be love...

for now one thing is for sure, a number of us will be absent on the 18th..

I was uber late for the mass today that i did not even made it for the gospel reading. Fortunately I was on time for the Homily. The Priest who did the sharing was a Thai and he relate the gospel to his experiences with Filipino Charity.

These were his top three most memorable experiences he had;

3rd: peace! i reaaly can't remember now..twas about Kinilaw.
2nd: he was eating a cup of pandan and when the host saw that he only had a half-full cup because he had eaten the half already, the host filled his cup again with out asking if he still wanted to have more.
1st:The host asked Father if Filipino food is the same with that of Thai's, and he said no for thais preferred it spicy, so the wife send for his husband to get some Chili and served 2 saucer filled with chili to Father, expecting him to eat those, so father asked for a Coke to pair it with.

The morale of the story is, the Lord is generously inviting us to his banquet, it is up to us to accept his invitation. God Opens his kingdom for us, it is up to us to change and start living in accordance to his will and live to his kingdom. Change oneself and be worthy of God's kingdom!

i am blogging in the middle of my paper works

in this way of doing my paper works, i am not sure when i could finish them. but im not just in the mood. i have not been feeling well these past few days. i have caught the virus and spreading them here in my workplace.

on my way home last night, few things were running thru my mind. they are the things that i want to blog. i wonder how is that when i have so much idea in my mind and when i try to sit down and start to reach for the keyboard i am left to ponder on what was i supposed to blog.

what i am feeling now is a little bit restricted, i restrict myself because it is the right thing to do. there were days that i spent the whole office hours changing my blog template, or my friends blogs, or surfing the net, i even plurk, and chat with friends. i feel guilty yet i am still blogging. my will does not participate with my conscience. they just don't work together.

recently i find myself misappropriately using the companies resources, like abusing my access, power tripping and so much i can't divulge. though, when i am analyzing things, they are petty compared to the people around me, but still i am misappropriately using the companies resources. i am becoming one of them.

i have a clerk beside me for the past three days now, yet i feel that my workload have even become heavier. i am getting frustrated with how she get things done, i am frustrated because i have not been able to give the directions well. I forgot that we are not of same knowledge. I could have looked at the situation in her perspective, the way i wanted my boss to see my perspective when she gives her direction. I am bitter when my boss makes me feel dumb, but really with her experience and mine, i am really dumb, but she should not rub it in my face, rather help me thru it so that i could get things done the right way.

these are the right thing to do..
stop blogging and start working.
stop getting frustrated and start explaining.
start the day right at 11 a.m.

Mag Ingat Ka sa KULAM

I have come to be a fan of Judy Ann Santos because she was able to succesfully transform herself into one of the most sought after actress of her generation. Recently her projects are of with sense and caliber that was why I dragged my friend to watch her latest film. We saw the trailer two weeks ago and it made us curious on how we rate at par with other asian Horror Flicks.

The Cast

Aside from Judy Ann Santos and Dennis Trillo, TJ Trinidad, Mart Escudero, Kris Bernal and Sharlene San Pedro are part of the film. The Film was written and directed by Jun Lana.,

Mag-ingat Ka Sa...Kulam is about a married woman (Judy Ann Santos) who starts behaving unpredictably as she recovers from a terrible car accident. Terrible things start to happen in her life, but her husband (Dennis Trillo) has been supprotive in unraveling how she lived before the accident. But only to find out that she has not been a good mom to her daughter Sophie (Sharlene San Pedro), and that her husband had an affair, she was involved with her business partner Dave (TJ Trinidad), and she has a twin sister who is mentally ill who had just died. Now they thought they have figured out the situation only to find out that they got it all wrong. The ghost that have been bothering them is sending a message, and that is the Mira that is with them is the evil twin sister Maria who switched thier souls and is planning to kill Mira's Family. And that saved Sophie and Dave from thier death at Maria's hands.

The Plot

The twist of the story was cool, only if you haven't seen The Others of Alejandro Amenábar, of which the main character is disturbed by a ghost that in the end, the main character turned out to be the real Ghost.

The Effects.

The movie made me scream a number of times. The background music made every horrifying scene feel more scary. But then again, I have already seen these from a number of asian horror flicks. It was as if the movie became a summary of the horrifying scenes and apparitions of the ghost of all the horror flicks I have seen. It made me wonder, it is as if SADAKU of the Ring have been made as a standard on how a lady grudgeful ghost should look like, ayt?

Conclusion.

you will have a good scream while watching the movie. just don't try to analyze and compare it to others and you end up spoiling the film.

I just hate it when I see corruption in front of me; even the slightest notion irritates me.Self-righteous as may be because I don’t see the logic of using the resources of someone of whom we know who spent the day working to procure that. But corrupt people exist and ironically there are a lot of them in our government.Last Friday while waiting for my bosses at the parking lot of KCC, Kuya Badong has no money to treat me even a BALOT*, so we where there sitting bored at the car, when an ambulance parked in front of us, the nurses used the AMBULANCE in the mall, should I need to expound on this. And much more to our dismay the vehicle of a group of oldies behind us was also a red plate. Argh!

Now this gives me a reason to be bothered every payroll seeing a deduction for TAX, of which we know are spent for the benefits of those who are supposedly be serving us.

Again I charged myself guilty of wasting the
company time. I promised to myself that there will be no blogging today, editing lay outs to strolling along the blog lanes of those I know. At around 10.30 am Sybil asked me to help her out with her blog, so in order to check if I am helping her correctly, I need to open my blog and hers to. Lucky for me my boss was busy preparing for the management regulatory meeting.

Sybil wanted this lay out and she was having the problems that I have encountered earlier. Though, I was not pretty sure, i tried to fixed things, fortunately I was able to comprehend what was wrong with this template.Yipee! we were both happy then.

Happy Birthday Lambda Nu!

We just have celebrated the culmination of our 9 months preparation, the celebration of our 9th birthday. Nine (9) years of Bloodletting, tree planting, coastal cleanup, feeding programs, charity works, Sabing moments, love life heartaches, cheap night outs,boodle fight, road trips, hang over’s and the next morning afters. For short, nine (9) years of developing leadership, promoting friendship and rendering service to the University, Community and to the Nation.

It has been a very long day for each of us, and let me narrate what has transpired throughout the day for the benefit of those who were not able to come.

Sleep Deprived

Our (Mimi, Masmin, Yasi, Doy, Carl, Rilag, Idel, Richmond, Me, Lizet, Zei, Pachi, Lau, Mae, Cherry, Jude, Jason, Ed)day started by conducting the chapter tradition to our newly ritualized sisses exactly 12 a.m. of sunday, sis Ma. Fatima dela Cruz, batch 2001, Sis Gyne Faith Barez and Arnee Tumapon from 2005. Since this was strictly an all-girl’s activity, the boys were left reviewing tasks, and manually preparing the medicines and other things needed for the medical/dental mission. Then after accomplishing almost everything, at around 230 am, lizet, me, zei, jason, and pachie and the rest went home. We left Mimi, jasmin, carl , richmond and doy, who were able to sleep for 2 hours, lucky for them they have sis jasmin who really didn’t fail to wake them up on time for the mass and parade activity.

Mass Surprise

I fetch lizet at around 6:30 and we went straight to Mintal. Mae, Faith, Arnee, and Mimi attended the mass at Imaculate of Holy Trinity at Mintal, while Lizet and I waited outside. Jasmine on the other hand was busy going back and forth to Sabing's community. Then Richmond came with the 12 blue balloons...then Pachie came and we had Kalamay (the violet kakanin) for breakfast. After the mass, Mimi joined us with our kakanin food trip while waiting for the majority who took their breakfast at the nearest café. Then came Edel and then Richmond with the rest of the crew, the Rilag who woke up late, and then Zei who woke up the “latest”. By some twist of fate, we were not mentioned during the mass (Toeweeenk!)

Good-natured conspiracy

12 blue balloons (I wonder where the yellow went), almost-done-thus-unfinished banner (send my regards to myself and kuts), invisible police convoy (a friend told me it’s called Hagard, not quite sure), and the 14 paraders (mimi, doy, rilag, idel, taytay, richmond, ME, lizet, zei, pachi, mae, cherry, faith, arnee). Without so

much for an entourage but my bf green, FORD explorer (just see for yourselves) we pursue with the motorcade. We enjoyably soaked ourselves with sweat (Gross*) and submit ourselves to the prejudice of the Mintal locales.

The medical/dental mission started at exactly 930 AM, at the entrance door is the registration section, all the patients were given PATIENT DATA forms, where their names and other basic information were taken. Bros/sis jason, rilag, bryan and lau were in charge. Then richmond, acted as the Usher, calling and announcing the next patients in line to enter for the PATIENT HISTORY Taking Section, where patients were taken BP, weight, height and other vital informations. Our nurses, carl, taytay, idel, pachi were in charge. For the dental patients, they are instructed to proceed to our HEMOGLOBIN Section, from our CHO volunteers to check if the patients are fit to undergo tooth extraction. They then proceeded to the DENTAL SECTION, our volunteer Dental Doctors, Dr. Rivera and Dra Abordo from CHO and Peter Isip and his companion, dental students who also assisted. For the medical consultation patients, they were directed to our consulting physicians, Dr. ABABON from CHO (thanks kay napugos jud ni yasi), Dr. ENOJO and Dra. AGOILO. These patients, after having the extraction/ consultation were prescribed some medicines, and proceeded to our pharmacy (hehe)/ MEDICINE REDEMPTION section to claim the prescribed meds by MDs. Headed by Yasi, cherry, mae, faith, arnee and ed. So, that was the flow. And the patients leave the venue with the meds, pain-free and happy. =)

Iron Chef Mintal

Aside from Iron Chef, Iron Chef America, there was also Iron Chef Mintal! There was Iron chef Sabing and the Challenger, team Ad Astra Per Aspera. Zet, Zei and I combined our skills, initiative and guts to prepare the food for the event, I was the head of the committee, and honestly I only know the theories but haven’t done the hands-on, I am good in budgeting, zei was better in cooking and mixing, while lizet discovered a new skill that she can be proud of, Slicing and Chopping. Though Sabing first completed her menu, team Ad Astra per Aspera finished the competition with compliments for our cooking.

After lunch, we rest for awhile and went to Mimi’s house for the 2^nd round of cooking.

Green Ford Explorer’s Persistence

On our(me, zet, zei) way to Ma-a the Green Ford Explorer run out of gas, and

because it is LPG powered vehicle, we cannot refill it with Gasoline, so in order to reach Ma-a, we had our wheel

s tugged by his cousin’s White Chevy Truck to the nearest LPG refilling station, which is at the Diversion Road after Matina Pangi. To our despair, still it did not run, we were about to tugged the Green Ford Explorer home, nearly reaching Ma-a, it started to run, it did not want to go home.

This was Tita JESEBEL’s moment, and we do not want to take or share with the spotlight so we just assisted her with the slicing. Jude, Cherry, Moi2x, Doy, Carl, were also there with us.

Closing Number

The Ritual rites and ceremony was realized at Jones beach resort with 3 from us, and 2 from Kappa theta
(DDH), ritual committee were doy, roger, karl b and karl p. The program proper started (courtesy of tay2, faith arnee=program committee). The Emcee's were richmond n mahal. Started with a prayer by sis taboo and then an opening remarks by me (msg: hopefully, this activity will set an example to other chapters in Davao that alumni and residents should work together) as one. Then, introduction of bros n sis in the chapter starting from the latest
batch to 99. Present were Vince-07, Cherry, mae, jude, lau, and ed-06, newly ritualized arnee and faith-05, pachi n taboo-04, lizet, lizel,zei-03, richmond-02, rilag, tay, idel, mahal-01, mimi, moy, jasmin, doy n karl-99. Then an inspirational talk was given by brod karl pioquinto, one of our organizer.Then we post for the Family Picture followed by presentation of pictures thru an LCD projector (courtesy of sis jasmin and rilag). The program ended with a toast song. And beer drinking session resumed.

LOST and FOUND

I am having a hard time trying to come up with a post for the past few days. Though, everywhere I go, I always have a thought of writing this-and that, but when I am already seated in front of the computer, I always go blank. What is happening to me lately? It is as if I am deteriorating, it is as if I am going dumber each day, memory lapses and frequent “tulala” moments. But I need to write, I badly needs to, because I badly want to need to write.

Things are not going on the way I planned it to be. It is frustrating but there is none that I can do. I have sort of over-examined myself. And I have confused myself, much more the people who surrounds me. I hope tomorrow is one sunshiny day. Sunny enough to lift up my mood, I want to be gay and rest for the mean time.

This post is going nowhere but I am glad I have completed two paragraphs. I am just practicing, sharpening and making the most out of this craft. PARDON

Our story began barely five months ago. It was that regular gloomy Gensan afternoon at SOCKSARGEN Hospital as I was waiting for my turn for my physical examination for my Citra Mina employment requirements. I was bored, so I started a conversation with the girl I’m seated with. She was familiar though for I saw her during the interview. We talked about which department we will be working on, and surprisingly, we are both into research but we have different superiors. What struck me during our conversation was how she noted my being pre-judgmental on other people, oops! NAULAW KO. This girl is nice, I thought. Our turns came and we have to bid good byes so we exchanged numbers; I have found a new friend that day.

I usually come underdressed, she is always dressed to kill,

I am grumpy, she is always happy,

I am always busy; she finds time to “kulit” me,

I love to go home to Davao on weekends, she loves going out on a Saturday night,

We both love cakes and coffee;

We both are young,

I am obliged to have my nails unpolished, she had hers done every other week

I am guilty of such act yet it is only now that I learned that there exists an exact phrase for the said act.

What is false humility?
That was when I was nominated for a higher position and I pretended that I don’t like to be nominated for such. But I have dreamt to grab the position ever since.
But thank God, he listens to my heart and not to my big blabbering mouth; I always got the position despite my pseudo hesitation.
But that was back then, I have the excuse of being young and immature.
Today, I’m still young but my officemates are not but why are they acting as such, what then will their excuse be; for they are not young anymore, ahhh! Maybe they are still immature.

I have so much in my mind from the first day I stepped here Gensan, and it kept on accumulating; restricted thoughts, unexpressed emotions, information overload, officemates impressions, unnecessary doubts, all piling up making me want to explode. Can I explode with out consequences? No, that will never happen, maybe I will just start to unload all these baggage.

It has been two years since I have graduated from college, 4 jobs, and 3 relocations, where do I want to be? I don’t know! But before I was able to wear my SABLAY, I was pretty sure what I want to be in the Food Manufacturing Industry. I want to be part of the Quality Assurance team. God was so good to me that a month after I got hired in a banana chips exporting company as In –Line Quality Assurance Supervisor.
But the plant was so far flung that I quitted 3 months after. Then I thought Fast Food Industry was the next thing for me, I was able to live in Cebu, but it only lasted for 7 months because I feel like going into business. Toink! The entrepreneurial spirit only lasted 7 months, I want the corporate feeling.

Four months after, I got what I wanted! Corporate and in line with my studies, and I belong to the PRODUCT RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT DIVISION, NEW PRODUCT INTRODUCTION DEPARTMENT. God always give me what I wanted, he never failed me but I always end up complaining of what I get forgetting that it was what I have asked for.

How did I become so ungrateful? Or when did I become one..Naahh, I just haven’t cleared to God what I wanted because I really don’t know what I wanted.

How is that possible…OKAY ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS….a duh duh duh
SOLUTION GENERATION!
Then ACTION PLANNING.
Okay that will be my assignment for the next two weeks.

Saan na kaya mga housemates ko? We were supposed to watch a movie (a very special love ni John Lloyd), but Joy was not sure and me either. But looking at the watch now, I supposed they really went to see the movie. Sayang early ko pa naman naprepare ang dinner. Lately, I find myself enjoying my time alone and being able to write, this gives me a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day. Thanks to those who inspired me to write, DaDa, LoI, mishaps, boredom, loneliness, confusion, infatuation, hormonal rush, ingetera complex, and to those whom I forgot to mention, thank you (emmy’s ba ito). Lastly, great thanks to Zyra for lending me her laptop every now and then.

What shall I do now, think (thuthump..thuthump).. picture, yes take pictures, wait where shall I turn the switch for the web cam…eto nah, eto nah, ahhhh..

four months and moving on

Gensan started its week gloomy, cold and wet, and it went on for three days. Gensan was so LESELE (all caps for the emphasis), for the past three days. It will be my fourth month in this city in the following days and yet I still do not feel at home, I still feel that I do not belong, I still feel homesick (that is why I always go home on week ends). There is an opening at Red Ribbon? Production Supervisor? Shall I?

As much as I want to, the other part of me stops that bratty one and stops the two us from going back to our comfort zone, DAVAO. The past few weeks have been a whirl wind of emotion, I even reached the point of breaking down in the middle of the night, bursting into tears, questioning myself on the decisions I’ve made this past few months. CHECKMATE, I can not move, I am trapped, I’m losing my favorite game ( sino nga kumanta nito?). But wait, I can not drown, I am Lesele Condeza, the Lesele Condeza, the bubbly, gorgeous, over confident, intellectual diva (if you don’t love yourself, who else will). They can look down on me but that won’t make me down, it will never even make me even less human than them, it is a matter of knowing your worth and standing by your worth, who ever they are, what ever they are, I will never allow them to intimidate me again. Respect begets respect; I will give this to whom it is due. Now I know it is not Gensan that do not welcome me, it is the people around me, it is me…PARADIGM SHIFT, I will give Gensan what it deserves, I hope she will give me the chance. Ciao its 1:30 am.

Boys Night Out

My boyfriend used to hang out with me and my friends but things are turning the other way around. I now hang out with him and his friends lately. I love it how he invites me on their boys’ night out and join them on their beer spree and dawn breaking Jollibee snack. Hehehehehe (suki sa pancake, kaya ni camapaner lamunon ang pancake in 1 minute). The last time we went to spend the night at IDOL’s , drinking with his old classmates and his x (beat that). I thought it will be a tense night, but it was great after all, we even went to bring one of his friend (Kinsa kaya) and his fling for the night at one of the motel somewhere north. Hehehehehe (that was my first time to go to a motel). Last week end, we went to sing our hearts out at GIMIK at Camus, then breakfast at Jollibee (again), we had our pancakes but since Rochelle joined us at around 4:00 am, Campaner was not able to resist buying French fries and burgers for us (heavy for after midnight snack). We called it a day around 5:00 am.
It was nice hanging with them again. I’m looking forward for our next night out.

Third Anniversary…I just want to share

It is our third year together, and we are happy (I assume he is). We decided to spend our special day (mushy) together (waah….plus angie) at Sarangani highlands. For the past three years, this was our first time to celebrate it out of town (something good to remember about Gensan). Our itinerary: we started our birthday the night before at BJ’s, a chicken house somewhere in Osmena, sharing some thoughts over garlic chicken and seafood chopseuy (yummy). Early the next morning, we prepared for our Sarangani Highland pictorials (lol…because our lunch ended up as though we have a photo shoot). We fell in love with the place, that we can’t help but take pictures despite the blistering, scorching heat of the midday sun. We spent the afternoon “touring” ( I am not sure if it exist in gerund) around Gensan and gave my boyfriend an UKAY UKAY BASH, Gensan style. We were so amazed by the stuff that we were able to scavenge, a multi-colored, semi-polka square printed EASTPak pack bag, PUMA JACKET, cool windbreaker, and vintage shirts, which didn’t even cost us a grand, great buys it is. We ended our day having dinner, again somewhere in Osmena (grilled haus capital of Gensan). The next morning, it time to say goodbye (for the mean time, sigh) as I am bound for work and he is due for his classes that afternoon. It was a three-day celebration for our third anniversary…It was nice, more than nice, I regret I cannot express on this article how happy I was for that three days.

Looking back three years ago, before the petty fights and mushy PDA’s, there were only sms from Bukidnun that I even barely gave serious thoughts. It was a constant exchange of sms, expressing hopes of being together again, a promise that once he is back in DAVAO, we'll get back together and that will be for “forever” (people please bear with the cheesiness; I’m just toooo in looove tonight).

It never even cross my mind that it will come true….not until (fast forward two years after), I received an sms one boring night at our Mandaluyong Apartment that they will be moving back to Davao for good, whew, I instantly have a boyfriend, but I am still two weeks due to Davao, but good news is he is still at Bohol and they will still pass over Bukidnun before going home to Davao. Both of us will be due to Davao at the same date, May 31, 2005. The date came, we failed to meet, I was busy with the student council, and he was busy moving in, we were both anxious to pursue our plan, we were at lost on what to expect, we even consider of not pursuing it, but we did, the day after. It was awkward, we were inept, yet the rest were history and now, it’s our third year together, it is even our monsary (I don’t think there is such a word, but I guess you understand it) today….HAPPY B-day CHing! Muaah…

No Pain, No Glory!

I felt a mass of air in the middle of my chest that makes it necessary for me to inhale and exhale slowly and deeply. This could be a manifestation of stress, I assume! But where could this stress be coming from I have a family to love, a boyfriend to.. I don’t want to enumerate, good friends to lean on, a career to get busy with, and health to what? Now I think that is stressing me. I am guilty of what I am doing to my body but I’m too lazy to deal with it. I need to sweat it out, loose some pounds and discipline my mouth. And that is effective today, TODAY! Enough of self pities and insecurities…

Losing weight strategies:

Eat healthy foods! Or make it prepare healthy meals, and to do that I need to
wake up early
jog three rounds at the oval (for starters)
meditate
